Firstly straight off the bat, I think that this years MWC has been one of the best we've had for some years. I mentioned in my first MWC 2025 blog on Monday that I felt that numbers were dwindling mainly because of lack of innovation etc Oh they got me and they got me good this year, albeit mostly in the weird and wacky category but I don't mind being proved wrong as long as it make us all smile #smilemore

From camera phones/phone cameras that grew bigger every time you touched one .. excuse me! to laptops with screen bigger than a Tesla! (hang on whilst I fact check that) ..... Damn! Lenovo 18.1 v Cybertruck 18.5 Yes, it was a game of two halves with Lenovo coming out strong from the get got and amassing a good lead over both the Tesla front men of S & X with a solo effort of 18.1 S & X worked the channels hard but due to bad distribution (erm!) could only come back with 17, but then in the second half Elon played an absolute card when he sacked both S & X as they couldn't tell him what they'd achieved in the first half and brought on Cybertruck who brought the game home with a winning 18.5. At the end Elon was interview and said that they had DOGEd a bullet there!

Samsung brought their A game to A Series with six years of updates, are we keeping our phones for six years now, are updates writing checks that batteries can't cash??

Nothing dazzled us with their 3a and 3aPro literally as they light up better than a council estate weeks before bonfire night

Honor as they had already updated their flagship phone early this year, common theme here! honoured us with some cool Alan, AI for short screen reading wizardry, a new watch and some cool new earbuds with real time translation, handy if you're out for a run and find yourself in Bradford!

This I love, HMD made a phone for teens that adults can monitor usage, track their whereabouts and basically give the adults better piece of mind, that said I know plenty of adults who have been to MWC this week and their screen usage and whereabouts should have been tracked! ... like I said, just send the money and we're all golden!

Chinese firm Tecno brought us the worlds slimmest phone insurance companies just left the chat! at just 5.75mm for context the iP16 is 7.8mm and S25 at 7.2mm. We'd just like to thank Wegovy for the sponsorship of Tecno.

Google announced that Gemini its all hearing voice assistant will soon be able to see the images your camera see's with video and report back .. Oh please all of you boys, settle down get back in your seats that's not big and it's not clever. And they said text messaging would only be used for when the other persons phone is switched of .. they did actually say that, I sat in a hotel room in Leeds (STOP IT!!) and Orange (that's EE to all you Gen Z'ds) introduced us to Text Messaging or SMS as it would be known to the masses that's until the Z man came along and renamed it WhatsApp sorry I digress. Yes, they said it would be used when another persons phone is switched off, you could send them a message so when they turned it back on they got the message... true story!

RealMe played a good midfield game with their 14Pro and 14Pro+ ... now forgive me but are we running out of descriptive here? at first we had XXXXX with their XX phone, then it became the XXPro and now it's the XXPro+ (isn't Pro+ a tablet that keeps you awake when you have to drive back from all your meetings daaarn saarf as everyone is based there but you live in the much better end of the country?) what's next the XXPro++ or the one down from the XXpro the XXPro- or the XXProf which is aimed at people who have been in education for a long time and can't get real jobs! If that's the case does that mean the XXPro is aimed at .. No it's not Martin, no it's not!

Motorola announced their Smart Connect System, which allows Motorola phones to connect to a Lenovo laptop and gives access to files, apps, and photos in one place—will soon be available for more devices, which has to be better than Microsoft's Phone link which couldn't connect anything to anything! so way to go Motorola!

So that's all folks! the shows over, stand builders can start earning their money now, everyone goes home and starts to prepare for IFA Berlin 5-9th September and all over the land you can here the song of the stand builder singing out ♪No, you can't use that again, it needs to be rebuilt, you can't use that again, it needs to be rebuilt, yooooou can't use that again, it needs to be rebuiiiiiiiiiiiilt, so go get your chequeboooooooook oooout! ♪
